About Us

Education and Training
Dr. Lara Cohen is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Colorado. She graduated with high honors from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology in 2013. After college, she worked at McLean, a psychiatric hospital in the Boston area. Dr. Cohen then attended the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology’s Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Program, where she learned evidence-based therapy and assessment techniques like ACT, DBT, and neuropsychological assessment. In 2017 she earned a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology.
She interned at the University of Colorado Anschutz’s Department of Family Medicine, working in different places like primary care clinics, The Attention and Learning Clinic at CU Boulder, and Salud Family Health Centers. She earned her doctoral degree in 2020.
Professional Experience
In 2020-2022, Dr. Cohen worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Metis Center for Psychological Services, providing therapy and neuropsychological assessments. She also worked at Parenting Made Pleasant, a private practice offering parent coaching. Dr. Cohen has a lot of experience working with adults who have ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and those in the LGBTQIA+ community.
